Zielsetzung

In this course the students get an overview on theories and concepts of performance management in private nonprofit organisations: How can we measure performance of organisations without profit-maximizing orientation, and which characteristics of the management system in a not-for-profit organisation are theoretically and empirically linked to its effectiveness and efficiency? Answers come from lecture, individual reading, class discussion, and group case study work.

Inhalt

Attendance for the first lecture is absolutely mandatory. Students who are not able to attend the first lecture are requested to send a mail to Prof. Gmür for registering for the course until Friday of the first week of lectures.
