Ethical business management

Nowadays, catchphrases such as "ethical business management" are often cited in the context of management. Until now, scientific literature has not addressed the impact of ethical business management on the organizational commitment of employees.

A PhD study conducted shows that leadership models based on distinct ethical norms have a greater positive influence on commitment components than leadership models based on general norms. Furthermore, cultural characteristics of leadership have a stronger positive influence on organizational commitment than structural characteristics.

The PhD project was supported by  the Friedrich-Naumann Foundation and the e-fellows Foundation.
